Linda Bender is a Board Certified psychotherapist and life coach with offices in Phoenix and Sedona. She has been practicing in Arizona since 1982. 

Linda guides individuals in their personal and spiritual growth. Areas of emphasis include increasing self acceptance and self esteem, enhancing relationships with others, navigating through difficult transitions (grief and loss, relocation, recareering and adjusting to life passages), coping with daily stress, and finding joy in life. 

A Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) in Glenside, Pennsylvania were awarded to Linda Bender. Her credentials include Arizona State Licensed Professional Counselor, APA Board Certified Professional Counselor, Certified Gestalt Therapist, and an Arizona Community College Teaching Certificate.

Since 1981 Linda Bender has taught over ten different counseling and parenting topics, including Stress Management, Building Self-Esteem, Family Roles, Current Day Parenting, Assertiveness Training, Women In Transition, and Career Exploration. Her fourteen years of experience teaching parents plus her life experience in raising two sons provides a rich background in coaching parents of pre-schoolers.

As a result of her desire to see behavior as a function of each individual's nature, she draws from the science of astrology as part of the total picture of each person. This often sheds light on situations, normalizes behavior and adds a lighter dimension to her work. Linda recently retired as a writer for The Villager, a Verde Valley Newspaper publication. Her column, Village People, highlighted remarkable residents in the Village of Oak Creek and Big Park.

Currently, Spirited Creations, imaginative pieces of fabric art, made by Linda Bender in Sedona, Arizona are on display in Scottsdale, Arizona.

In addition, Linda's personal interests include exercise, yoga and meditation, creative and nutritious cooking, hiking in red rock country, and healing through laughter and play. She also enjoys the company of her two grown sons.
